There are 3 macro-categories of masks: personal protection device (PPE), medical device (MD) and “collectivity” mask (fabric masks). The PPE category includes the mask with the acronym FFP (filtering face piece) reserved to doctors. The DM includes the surgical masks reserved to sick people (or doctors). The collectivity masks include the disposable or washable masks, which can be bought or home-made with different materials: they can be defined “hygienic facility”. The FFP2 Itaprotect masks are produced and certified in Italy with certification CE 0477 . They are equipped with a filtering efficiency equal to 98% and they have to be worn following a specific procedure. These mask are able to filter also the smallest parts of virus (called aerosol) and to guarantee maximum protection also to the weakest people.
